Resources that have been produced by NHSE and others:

NHSE has written a letter to health services making clear that decisions about the health care of a person with COVID-19 should not be made based on them having a learning disability or being autistic. This was in response to concerns raised by families and providers, particularly about reports of blanket decisions being made to put DNARs in place.

NHSE COVID-19 guidance relating to people with learning disabilities and autistic people is available here it includes:

  • Clinical guidance

  • Managing capacity

  • Legal guidance
