Learning Disability Nursing…

“It’s all about creating meaningful relationships and building trust.”

We Need You!

Acute Learning Disability Liaison Nurses are vital in ensuring that people with a learning disability receive timely and equitable care and treatment when they need to attend Acute Hospitals. Hospital systems can be incredibly complex and Acute Learning Disability Liaison Nurses are there to help people and families navigate these systems and we really need to raise the profile of this incredibly important role.

Along with a group of Acute Learning Disability Liaison Nurses we are currently developing an interactive art project. The aim of this project is to highlight the role of the Acute Learning Disability Liaison Nurse through the powerful stories of nurses themselves and the people they support.

In order to do this WE NEED YOU!!

If you are an Acute Learning Disability Liaison Nurse and would like to get involved or would to know more please contact ben.briggs@nhs.net
