Helicobacter Pylori

H. Pylori (Helicobacter Pylori) is a type of bacteria which can enter your body and live in your digestive tract, it can cause sores, ulcers and more seriously can lead to stomach cancers, it is also more prevalent in people with a learning disability.

Despite this increased level of prevalence, it is not routinely screened for as part of the Annual Health Checks and so can easily be missed.
