Gwen Moulster OBE - Review of Liaison Nursing

 
 

This review into the role of liaison nurses was conducted for Health Education England in partnership with Learning Disability England and In Control.

The objectives were to identify where liaison nurses work, what they do and how their roles are perceived.

The review included a questionnaire for nurses; a review of job descriptions and person specifications; and interviews and focus groups with nurses, self-advocates and families. The full report, summary report and easy read report were published in October 2020 and can be accessed below.

Gwen Moulster OBE

Gwen,(MA, Cert Ed, RNLD) is an independent Consultant Nurse, and Honorary Senior Fellow with Kingston University & St George’s University of London.

Gwen has extensive experience of person-centred working with people who have learning disabilities, families, advocates, health professionals and others to improve the quality of health experiences and outcomes. She has worked with a wide range of health needs and complexity across inpatient and community care and been influential in changing and developing services.
